Hundreds of guests have gathered on the 4th day of August in the Iurceni village, Nisporeni district, in order to take part at the ethno-tourist festival „La fantana mare din Iurceni”. This event, which hosted tens of folk ensembles and some well known singers as Nicolae Glib or Zinaida Julea, was managed by our company thanks to the “Development of tourist routes in Nisporeni-Prut cross border region” European Project. Also, during this event, there was a Folk Artisans Fair organized here for the first time. The fair hosted different ceramics, wood handicrafts, icons, crucifixes, trinkets, crocheted items and masks of various Moldavian fairytales characters.

This feast, which coincided with the Iurceni annual fete, was also created for the children from the village. They have participated in various music, dance contests, and sports competitions, as well as in a drawing contest “Our village’s day”. Besides, till the end of the day, children have tried their forces during the wrestling for the cock, while the teenagers have concurred for winning the tup. In the final, everybody got its prize, but the most important – memories about the nicest Iurceni annual fete that the villagers have ever seen.
